I’d be thrilled if my elected representatives focused a bit more on how our own FARA laws are being misused & weaponized against American advocacy groups such as @HinduAmerican.
We’ve had a California Khalistani group threaten us with a legal FARA letter to Trump’s DOJ, and we’ve had American defamation laws prevent us from holding @IAMCouncil & other fringe groups accountable for fake FARA related allegations derived from @AJEnglish.
And how about fixing the rot in American universities evading their duty to report foreign funding -- as with the Bridge Initiative at Georgetown, built on Saudi money, that singles out Americans for attacks & suspicion?
Let’s get our own house in order before we grandstand over foreign laws.
Dear @USAttyReitz: You actually responded to a racist/hateful post by a Pakistani actor stan account and investigated a US citizen performing classical Indian dance in front of her house.
Did I miss the part where you apologized for investigating an innocent citizen & pledged to prosecute this clear attempt to doxx and target an American under Texas Penal Code § 37.08 (making a false allegation to your office)?
Who decides what's "true" on the internet?
When a handful of editors can shape one of the web's most influential knowledge sources, the effects don't stop at @Wikipedia. They can influence search results, AI-generated answers, and public perception.
Read HAF's Mat McDermott in the @dcexaminer on why this debate matters far beyond a single Wikipedia page.

Another breakthrough piece by @AshleyRindsberg about how Wikipedia can be manipulated by rogue editors to put reputations & even lives at risk.
Rindsberg is the same journalist who exposed the concerted vandalism of the @HinduAmerican wiki page. https://t.co/amcIYOTlPE
@CoHNAOfficial@FriedrichPieter Do we still call this freedom of speech? This Person is intimidating Hindu Community and spreading misinformation, false narratives all the time. He is becoming bolder day by day because we are silent. Hindu American community can’t even do Advocacy at Washington?
Intimidating and scaring Hindus - including students as young as middle school - from speaking up and representing themselves. Targeting a Hindu event with bigotry and propaganda.
Yup, that’s @FriedrichPieter for you.
He tried to crash our Advocacy Day, invading the room and recording people so they feel uncomfortable and scared to come to Capitol Hill and engage in basic American civic rights.
And was eventually escorted out of the room by Capitol Police.
This is an encroachment of the civil rights of Hindus to host their own events and educate lawmakers.
But we won’t be intimidated. We won’t back down. We are here and we stand here.
Here is a write up on Pieter’s Hinduphobic, Antisemitic and anti-LBGTQ views.

Since the video I shared confused you, maybe you can have your students read the article and provide a summary for you. https://t.co/uuDXfhGuo3
Audrey, @lsanger says that paid editors on Wikipedia are roaming around perpetrating biases & damaging reputations of major orgs like @HinduAmerican.
And while you’re on my TL, any response to this little nugget that @npovmedia exposed:
Wiki 👏🏽 editors 👏🏽 that 👏🏽 vandalized 👏🏽 HAF’s 👏🏽 page 👏🏽 also 👏🏽 wrote Truschke’s and H4HR’s 👏🏽 entries 👏🏽
🤔
Ohh Audrey, this is sad, but typical of those who are “scholar-activists” rather than scholars…I didn’t call upon anyone to correct our wiki page, the literal founder of the platform, @lsanger did!
And you say that “academic consensus” says we’re part of a parivar, but then the only academic article you quote is one written by you! The others are such examples of scholarship as the Caravan & an anonymous anti-Hindu troll handle called Savera.
You’re really not making a strong argument here 🤷🏽♀️
Wikipedia co-founder @lsanger has been blocked from the very platform he helped create. Read that again.
Days after @NPOVMedia and @AshleyRindsberg exposed how a handful of anonymous editors captured HAF's @Wikipedia page, one of Wikipedia's founders is publicly asking why he himself was blocked.
For years, HAF warned that our page had been hijacked by a small group of editors who portrayed us as a Hindu supremacist organization, supporting repression of minority religions in India, a cheerleader for the BJP and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with foundational ties to paramilitary groups, sending money to India to support fascism and “slow genocide”.
None of these characterizations on our Wikipedia page is true. At all. They are lies.
Wikipedia shapes Google searches, trains AI systems, informs journalists, and influences public opinion around the world. When anonymous editors wield this much power with so little accountability, everyone should care.
HAF sounded the alarm years ago. The @NPOVMedia investigation lit the fuse.
It was an inside job!
We’ve watched our @Wikipedia page completely defaced & vandalized for 5 years that rendered @HinduAmerican unrecognizable.
This investigation by @AshleyRindsberg@npovmedia blows the cover off of what appears to be a concerted attack on HAF by a cabal of 4 editors—two of whom are apparently tied to Audrey Truschke & the fringe group, Hindus for Human Rights.
Trangabellam, Kautilya3, Lightex and Shainshah121 are responsible for 80% of the entire content of the HAF wiki page. Who are they?
✅Trangabellam created, protected & shaped Audrey Truschke’s Wikipedia page while they defaced HAF’s with unsubstantiated slurs.
✅Lightex actually disclosed “past work with “Hindus for Human Rights,” created that group’s wiki page (against wiki’s own rules) & then attacked HAF’s wiki page changing the lead to cast HAF as a “far-right nationalist organization.”
✅ Shahinshah121 added false allegations that HAF is “Hindutva” & “under investigation by the DOJ for acting as a foreign agent” while promoting Truschke’s “South Asian Scholars Collective” within hours of it being formed.
✅ Kautilya3, the 2nd most active editor of the HAF page, erased all information that provided an HAF perspective to allegations, including that “HAF has absolutely no links” to various foreign orgs. He then added the line that “HAF repackaged the Hindu nationalist agenda in the language of ‘Hindu rights’ to suit mainstream American politics.”
So I know many will ask, “Why are you crying about this on twitter—do something about it.”
Well, read the full article and see how one of Wikipedia’s 32 most powerful editors, Vanamonde93 blocked attempts to balance the HAF Wiki page and actually defaced it further.
Watch the video below and read the full article. If this can happen to the oldest and most respected Hindu American organization in the United States, who else is in the crosshairs? Who’s next?
She says “this isn’t Shiva” with the same authoritative, yet false conceit with which she translated a Ramayana verse as Sita calling Rama a misogynist pig.
This is the game that “public facing” historians play to provoke us simpletons from high above the ivory tower—it keeps them relevant & sells books.
Don’t lodge expletives—educate yourself as to how academic credentialism & a peer review cartel are manipulated to claim authority, dismiss native voices & as my friend @indumathi37 has written, commit epistemic violence.
We are shocked and grieved at the attack on a San Diego Mosque that took innocent lives. We must fight against religious bigotry, hate and violence. 🙏🏿

@CoHNAOfficial Hindus4HR is fox in the disguise of Cow. I hope various media will call out their bluff and expose them including their source of finance. Thank you CoHNA for exposing coward people who spread the misinformation and try to divide community under the disguise of Hindu Banner.
In recent years, groups like Hindus for Human Rights have become very vocal - claiming to speak for Hindus and using their privileged access to cancel authentic diaspora Hindu voices. But who is this group? Who advises them? Who are their allies?
An analysis of their Advisory Board and publicly declared allies throws up some interesting contradictions.
Call us crazy, but a group representing diaspora Hindus should be having advisors who are (1) diaspora and (2) Hindu.
@Hindus4HR fails on both criteria.
Not to mention some problematic actions & double standards that we lay out in this short video.
Please read, share, amplify so that our policymakers understand that Hindus need to be represented by authentic Hindu only voices.
You can disagree with @VivekGRamaswamy politically, but you have to respect and celebrate that he won 82.5% of Republican primary voters despite an anti-Hindu hate coded campaign.
His win is a testament to the strength of every day Americans who believe in the promise of America and staying true to who you are.
Online hate - 0 | Offline Americans - 1
I have officially filed to run in the upcoming CD14 special election but am still hopeful that our party can unify and avoid risking the lengthy and expensive process.
I have signed the statement agreeing to sit out the special election if all my fellow Democratic candidates put aside their personal ambitions and come together to ensure that the seat is filled quickly and responsibly by a Democratic unity candidate.
The regular primary for the full term is coming on June 2, when voters will have the opportunity to make their voices heard.

Two years ago, this writer got a byline in the NYTimes alleging Indian men foster a “rape culture,” and now Al Jazeerah publishes the same author calling Holi a rape festival.
India is saddled by self-hating radicals glad to sh-t on their culture, just as there are media outlets ready to publish their soulless diatribes.
There are a risk when crowds gather, but this doesn’t identify the problem nor offer any solution.
