I imagine many parents like their kids receiving hard homework, but those are the good parents who are less likely to complain about teachers overall.

@pegobry_en Note that it is the clearest refutation; not the only refutation. My only request as a Protestant is that we hold that the biblical tradition is non-contradictory.

If we are interpreting Jesus such that He contradicts Paul, we are probably interpreting Him wrongly.

@realmattcarr I am perpetually frustrated by shallow "women's Bible studies" (or all gender-oriented Bible studies, for that matter). I think it is appropriate for us to value theological education for the entire church. I would rather women in the church be reading Berkhof than Beth Moore.

@kyaralithe @Emma506131772 As a graduate of one of the largest evangelical seminaries in the world, I can say never once was I told that suffering is a weakness, rather, the Great Commission was emphasized to an extreme degree, and I was told that suffering as Christ suffered ought to be my goal.
