@JamesMac_Fit consider no tv in the house. they will get bored for the first 5 days, then they will discover creative play. on limited family occasions, or when they feel under, they can watch slow paced old disney cartoons ;not the fast paced-attention grabbing-bright coloured bs of nowadays
The reason government programs are so inefficient is that, unlike a commercial company, the feedback loop for improvement is broken, because they have a state-mandated monopoly and can’t go out of business if customers are unhappy.
No matter how bad the service is at your DMV (sorry to pick on DMVs), you still have to use your DMV, because it’s a monopoly.
@iandonald_psych What are your thoughts on the CEOs of Unilever? Or P&G’s? Or Johnson& Johnson? Do you buy their products? Are you familiar with their ideological and political views?
@elonmusk@neuralink Precision and accuracy by robots are definitely welcome. Given a large enough dataset you could probably train a robot to do a specific type of straightforward surgery in 10-20 years. However, you will struggle to find a dataset to train a robot, on what it should not operate on
@larsmoravy Electrochromic roof glass, 5-6 physical buttons with mini oled screens (think premium gaming keyboards) on them somewhere in the dash that can be mapped to any function /button that exists in the interface;Essentially shortcut buttons, v2l, active noise cancellation, rain sensors
We're told the NHS is underfunded... If that is the case, why is over £80k being wasted on this diversity role?
If it were up to me, every penny spent on these jobs/schemes would be diverted to frontline staff.
I think most sensible people agree.
Ten cognitive check points (general rules or heuristics to help guide my practice) I use in the ICU to help make sure I don't get too far off track. A thread🧵👇

@elonmusk no easy way to turn on all dome lights at once in MY, esp when kids asleep in car and can’t use voice. Perhaps a quick double press (or long press) of driver dome light turns all 4 cabin lights on/off?
@elonmusk apart from cameras, do you use internal cabin microphones to detect rain?? Could be useful both when vehicle is moving for windscreen wipers, as well to detect rain when vehicle stationary with windows vented and rain starts
