So temporary waterlogging occurs at an airport during a heavy rainfall, and suddenly India’s 7.8% GDP growth becomes a joke?
By that logic, when Dubai International Airport is flooded, New York’s LaGuardia Airport floods, or Frankfurt’s runway turns into a lake, their economies must be collapsing too.
Criticise the drainage capacity, that’s fair. But using temporary waterlogging at an airport to mock India’s progress says far more about such people’s eagerness to see the country fail than it does about the economy.

Kailash & Kedarnath are not tourist destinations and also not ordinary pilgrimages. These are v high energy centres, esp Kailash. Not for anything, Kailash is called the axis of the world. For centuries, people approached these places with Sadhana, preparation & surrender. Today we want luxury & comfort everywhere. These sacred places don’t need to adjust to us. We need to adjust ourselves to them.
India’s economy has once again demonstrated remarkable strength and resilience. Real GDP grew 7.8% in Q1 FY27, ahead of expectations and higher than the 6.9% recorded in Q1 last year. The expansion is broad-based: manufacturing grew 9.2% and the services sector 10%. Investment has also strengthened significantly, rising to 34.3% of GDP from 31.4% in Q1 last year.
These numbers emphatically put to rest fears that the Iran war shock and heightened global uncertainty would sharply weaken India’s growth momentum. On the contrary, they underline the depth of India’s macroeconomic resilience, strong domestic demand and capacity to absorb external shocks.
At a time when the global economy is facing geopolitical turbulence, trade fragmentation and uncertainty, India continues to stand out as an oasis of stability and growth. The message is clear: the Indian economy can withstand global shocks, sustain high growth and continue to invest for the future.
India remains the fastest-growing major economy in the world. Congrats @PMOIndia@narendramodi@nsitharaman@SmalhotraRBI
Last year has seen India's highest ever GST collection: $270 billion; highest ever vehicle sales: 29 million; highest ever Manufacturing PMI: 59.3; highest ever Forex reserves: $726 billion; highest ever Sensex: 86,100. And now Q1 GDP zooms to 7.8%.
Terrible. Modi must resign.
#WATCH | Nepal flash floods | Kathmandu: Speaking at the special solidarity event 'In Solidarity with Nepal', led by spiritual leader Sadhguru, Actress Manisha Koirala says, "...We are facing the brunt of global warming. What should be our next step? I request that we, as human beings, our great neighbors, China, India, Nepal, somehow join hands in this and do something collectively. We are so linked with each other. And to try and avoid something like this. I hope and pray. Without making sense of this disastrous moment, we become better people. We help others just like we'll help our own. Other than this, I want to request all the international communities... I pray that your love and support continue. We, as a nation, need people to come to our country. We don't want to be known as 'Oh, this country is full of disasters'. We need you all to travel. Yes, there's a calamity in Tibet and Nepal border. But tourism is a breath..."

For the first time, I am seeing more discussion and coverage for a foreign visit of an Indian, while PM Narendra Modi is also abroad on the same day!
Modi in Uzbekistan.
Bhagwat in USA.
SM flooded with pics of historic RSS #UniversalOneness
I don't think Modi would mind 😊
Ten people showing up to protest Mohan Bhagwat Ji vs. an ocean of people filling Madison Square Garden to hear him.
The contrast speaks for itself.

MOTHERLAND Vs FOREIGNLAND
“Bharatiya diaspora have a duty to their Karma Bhoomi and they must fulfill that. They should be loyal to their Karma Bhoomi.
Since Bharat is their Janma Bhoomi, if they have an urge to do something, they can do that, after fulfilling their duty to their Karma Bhoomi, it is not prohibited. But it is not obligatory.
Your Janma Bhoomi expects you to live the values it has imparted on you...”

A group of 60 pilgrims from Tamil Nadu were travelling in three buses on the Kailash Mansarovar pilgrimage. The whereabouts of around 40 travelling in two of those buses remain unknown.
The 21 pilgrims in the third bus had a miraculous escape, scrambling to higher ground as the waters rushed down.
I met them at Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport as they headed home via Delhi to Chennai — counting their blessings, but deeply worried about those still missing.
Their extraordinary account of survival. #NepalFloods #NDTV
