When I say about the quiet success of the VAT, this is what I mean: *€20 billion a year* from reforms to adapt VAT to the digital economy. Revenue - doesn't even account for massive compliance/ efficiency savings.

VAT Fraud = high registration at address + high defaults. The list is endless…

This case would have blown the doors off.

@TheRising_Moon @juliusoliveti @EXEOX2 @HMRCgovuk Ahh yes, HMRC were clueless about the the scale of the fraud. We eventually had to publish a list of thousands of overseas sellers that were evading vat. Then HMRC used our site to track down the sellers.
