@NancySinatra His standong up for fair treatment of African Americans meant all the world to a young bobbysocker --- my late mother --- all those years ago.
@DavidDTSS When I think of your father, I think of him expressing righteous anger during that eulogy -- it took courage to verbalize the truth at that moment, to fight the fear.
@QondiNtini It's important to remember that there are elections held every 6 months in the US, as well as occasional special elections at all levels -- township, city, state and federal.
@NicolasEdny I'm glad you're being honest about how you are feeling rather than pretending you are feeling otherwise. My elders are gone, my best friend, my beloved man and my sister, who was like a twin. The world is a strange place without them. However, you will be upheld. I know this.
@darryn_briggs Nor do I -- such a sense of arrogant entitlement. This is one prime example of short sighted, ageist folks demanding passed "torches" and infrastructures of organizations because they know building new orgs is a long term game and they don't want the hassle.
@darryn_briggs@CNNSOTU@jaketapper@SenatorRomney The entire "misread" narrative is about as erroneous and disingenuous as they come. Just cut the bs. Imagine a United States that actually confronted its fatal flaws truthfully?
Step 1 of #KingianNonviolence: Informational Gathering
Before we speak or act, we must seek all the facts from all sides. Truth-seeking builds a foundation for justice, empathy, and peace.
In a world of fast information, let us pause and ask: Is it true? Truth-seeking is an act of love—for ourselves and humanity.

@QondiNtini Something the mainstream press has not understood for the last four years is the fact that he has ALWAYS thrown shade when required. Back in the 70s, he would practically be punching folks out. Now, he does not have to answer one more reporter or question unless he chooses to.
@nativelandpod While I get Angela's point, I agree with Andrew. Look at the body language. Trump's slumped, submissive posture against Biden's confident, straight backed, "normal" tinged words. It made him squirm. They want Dems to exhaust themselves w/rage so they can steamroll the country.
The line between perception and reality is already pretty blurred. If you enter these platforms with a grasp of that, then, yes, they can provide real joy. I am on a few...but, let's not keep looking for the "MySpace" hit -- it was always an illusion of sorts.
If you are going to take on the uncertainties and chaos of relationship with your fellow human travelers, sometimes taking off the tech mask may be more transformative. (2/2)
And another thing: take time to think. From "MySpace" to today's offerings, with their psuedo- community enclaves and tribes, has not ended up in conflict that often spills over into " real life"? (1/2)
Please understand that I do consider social media valuable. Some of my most affirming, loving life experiences started there. But how much AI and augmented reality dissonance and chaos do we have to experience in society to realize we must come together in person at times? (2/2)
I think that leaving one artificial technology platform to join another in order to find "community" seems a bit futile to me. I have an idea: how about limiting time on ALL TECHNOLOGY and relearn how to be in community in person? (1/2)
