Calling someone out online for something they did online is one thing. But exposing someone’s private information and spreading it around is completely different, and it’s not okay.
We keep talking about responsibility and accountability, but can’t we apply those same things to ourselves too? You can call someone out for what they did without crossing the line into doxxing, harassment, or putting their safety at risk.
Being angry at someone doesn’t give us the right to expose their personal information. And just because you think someone deserves to be called out doesn’t mean everything you do in response is automatically justified.
We’ve been talking about accountability and learning from what happened these past few months, so have we really learned nothing?
If we want people to take responsibility for their actions, then we need to be willing to do the same. Calling out harmful behavior is one thing, but becoming harmful ourselves in the process defeats the whole point.
Doxxing is not okay. Posting someone's private info without consent to harass or threaten them is a serious offense punishable under RA 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act). Protect each other online—respect privacy and think before you post! 🚨
