But they would still not owe the money from the failed start up for the rest of their lives. If the founders were financially responsible for the rest of their lives it would decrease innovation.

When students declare bankruptcy it should damage their credit for seven years just like foreclosure on a house. If the students can never get out of debt for a worthless degree then it is it's slavery.
