In a major step towards strengthening India's energy security, promoting import substitution, and accelerating industrial self-reliance, Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji will lay the foundation stone of the ₹25,016 crore Lakhanpur Coal Gasification Project at Jharsuguda, Odisha, on 20 June 2026.

A key component of the Government's Coal Gasification Mission, the project marks a historic milestone as India's first commercial-scale Coal-to-Ammonium Nitrate facility and will be developed by Bharat Coal Gasification and Chemicals Limited (BCGCL), a joint venture of @BHEL_India and @CoalIndiaHQ.

Key highlights:

🔹 India's first commercial-scale Coal-to-Ammonium Nitrate project
🔹 Project investment of ₹25,016 crore
🔹 Spread across approximately 350 acres in Lakhanpur, Odisha
🔹 Production capacity of 2,000 tonnes of ammonium nitrate per day
🔹 Based on indigenously developed coal gasification technology by BHEL
🔹 Supported with ₹1,350 crore under the Ministry of Coal's incentive scheme
🔹 Reduces dependence on imported feedstocks and strengthens domestic manufacturing
🔹 Part of India's broader Coal Gasification Mission, expected to attract investments of ₹2.5–3 lakh crore
🔹 Supports generation of around 50,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities across coal-bearing regions

The project represents a significant step towards maximising value from India's vast coal reserves, strengthening industrial competitiveness, and advancing the vision of an Aatmanirbhar and Viksit Bharat.

ఇవాళ రంగారెడ్డి జిల్లాలోని తిమ్మాపూర్ గ్రామంలో RCI గేట్‌ నుండి మీర్‌ ఖాన్‌ పేట్‌ వరకు రూ.30 కోట్ల వ్యయంతో అత్యాధునికంగా పూర్తి చేసిన 22 కిలోమీటర్ల రోడ్డును ప్రారంభించడం జరిగింది. రవిర్యాల-కొంగరకలాన్-తిమ్మాపూర్- మదాఫూర్- గుమ్మడవల్లి, ఆకుల మైలారం గ్రామాలను ఈ రహదారి అనుసంధానిస్తుంది. దీంతో ఈ ప్రాంత ప్రజల ప్రయాణ కష్టాలు తీరనున్నాయి.

నియోజకవర్గాల పునర్విభజన విషయంలో దక్షిణాది రాష్ట్రాలకు అన్యాయం జరుగుతుందన్న విపక్షాల అసత్య ప్రచారాన్ని గౌరవ కేంద్ర హోంమంత్రి శ్రీ @AmitShah గారు పార్లమెంటులో వాస్తవ గణాంకాలతో తిప్పికొట్టారు. ప్రస్తుతం 5 దక్షిణాది రాష్ట్రాలకు 543 లోక్‌సభ స్థానాల్లో 129 స్థానాలు (23.76%) ఉన్నాయి. లోక్ సభ స్థానాలు 816కి పెంచితే, ఇవి 195 స్థానాలకు పెరుగుతాయి (23.90%). అంటే సుమారు 50శాతం పెరుగుదల ఉంటుంది.

తెలంగాణకు ప్రస్తుతం మొత్తం లోక్ సభ స్థానాల్లో 17 సీట్లు (3.13%) ఉండగా.. పునర్విభజన తర్వాత 26 స్థానాలకు (3.18%)కి పెరుగుతాయి.
