On January 17, 2026, the individual pictured was located safe and in the company of a VBPD officer.
He is autistic and non‑verbal. VBPDs actively working to reunite him with his family. If you can identify him, please contact a missing persons detective.
Apply for our 62nd Citizen's Academy! Topics covered in the classes range from criminal law and forensics to patrol operations and investigations. Attendees may even have the opportunity to tour the City jail and ride-along with a VBPD officer.

Today the @VBPD Fourth Precinct was presented with a memorial bench in honor of fallen officers Girvin and Reese. A huge thank you to Tidewater City Council of Beta Sigma Phi for the beautiful addition to the precinct and memorial for our officers who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
