@miruna_mincic It's exactly the same for me!! I know for sure that there is a possibility that the information I find there is not completely reliable but still I like to get information on this site as soon as I have questions about a subject
@AyushCCOM315 I completely agree with you! I feel like I can live without my phone, but as soon as a notification appears I rush to it... Maybe this "always-on" mode is almost inevitable for our generation...
I thought of the music "Carmen" by Stromaé as a pop culture text that proposes a vision of writing the internet. The singer gently mocks Twitter users by explaining that followers are not here forever and that, anyway, we often end up alone #315WeekTwelve
@vcau_10 This is so cool! The lyrics kind of remind me of cancel culture as well. These days, becoming an influencer can happen fast, but getting cancelled can happen even faster. If the world doesn't like something you do or who you are, anything you earned will be gone in a flash.
@vcau_10 I strongly agree and relate to this!! I cannot imagine how life would be if I didn't have this opportunity to promptly and easily communicate with my family abroad.
I think the benefits outweigh the pressures & complications of this always-on lifestyle. Even though I often overuse social media on my daily life, living far aways from my family, it allows me to stay in touch with them every day and for me that's a huge benefit #315WeekTwelve
"Victime des réseaux" of the French singer
Angèle takes a crucial look at social media. The song is about how people compare each other on the internet and can lie about their lives "Nobody's really happy, I wish I'd be like you, You wish you'd be like me" #315WeekTwelve
The notion of "always on lifestyle" unfortunately resonates with my experience with social media because I realize that it's overwhelming in my daily life. The more time goes by, the more apps I use, the more groups I create - #315WeekTwelve
In the future, I don't know if I will have the habit of editing Wikipedia articles sometimes, on my own initiative, but one thing is certain: if I read an article and notice something that should be changed, I will do it and I will know how to do it!
In the Wikipedia Challenge, I sometimes found it hard to understand how the tools to edit a page worked (how to insert an image and adjust the size, or how to insert references), even when reading the articles that explained it #ccom315#315wikichallenge
Otherwise, I found it quite surprising to see how easily everyone can edit an article and how Wikipedia doesn't check what you write at the very moment you post it !
One of the negative points of Wikipedia for me is definitely its image and reputation as a site that cannot be trusted, that is not reliable and that it is better not to cite in school assignments... #315WeekEleven
For as long as I can remember, I have always used Wikipedia. Whenever I need information, confirmation or simply want to learn more about a subject, I naturally consult this site. However, it is true that I have often heard that Wikipedia was not really reliable
For my open-genre blog post, I was thinking of writing a best of, either my favorite books or my favorite music albums! What do you think? :)) #315pitches
