This weekend we have seen that @Annabel_Croft’s story has resonated with so many in the bereaved community. Over 100K have watched our videos.
The impact of losing her husband Mel has clearly been felt by those grieving their own family and friends.
Here Annabel talks about the importance of a bench where she and Mel used to sit and she finds comfort in those memories now.
Benches are places we are able to sit, to remember and to connect with others. Our #SitWithHope initiative was created to ensure our plaques offer signposting to Help and Hope in communities across the country.
Thankyou to Annabel and @bbcstrictly for opening conversations around grief and we hope that the joy and friendship you have found, helps you to manage the pain of your loss.

@AnneEBailey1@Eddie_G0EHV No. The torchlight procession would have been lovely to see too, if I’d been able to stay. I have many wonderful memories of Lourdes.
@AnneEBailey1@Eddie_G0EHV Amazingly, The Immaculate Conception was the only parish church in the country to be part of the tour- the other places were all cathedrals.
@Stagecoach_Ox I would love to be able to contact someone regarding the withdrawal of the annual Mega Rider my children used to travel to school last year and why there are no alternative ticket options for our area- just outside the Banbury zone.
@antanddec@TweeterPriest So sorry to hear this. I had the pleasure of meeting him a few years ago when he spoke at my children’s school. He was a lovely man.
Very disappointed with @stagecoachgroup customer service. Waiting 3 weeks rather than 3-5 working days for replacement bus pass and spending lots in the meantime.
@sophieinspace We’d love a copy of this to add to our copies of your other books that have proved very popular. Of course I’d have to read it quickly myself so that I can make informed recommendations!🤞
I just took part in the #BigPlasticCount, UK’s biggest investigation into household plastic waste. Here’s what I found really happens to my plastic waste:
♻️12% recycled
🌍17% sent abroad
🔥46% burnt
⛰️25% sent to landfill
This is shocking, right?! @Jochurchill_MP@pow_rebecca
What’s the UK government’s plastic policy? Dump it on other countries! Less than 10% of our plastic recycling is actually recycled in the UK.
The rest is sent overseas where it’s often burned or dumped, fuelling health and wildlife emergencies.
RT to expose. #Wasteminster 1/5
