@Aaroncopter agreed #jmarx110b

[Veronica Peters @vcpeters]

@Cizar101 I would say discussed because an object becomes a matter of concern when people voice their concerns. #jmarx110b

[Veronica Peters @vcpeters]

#jmarx110b @risha_rosario ditto. I was avoiding it like the plague.

[Veronica Peters @vcpeters]

#jmarx110b I don't believe blogging can ever be separated from narcissism.

[Veronica Peters @vcpeters]

#jmarx110b @ESneathen in an ideal world, yes. But then the first editions would not be so special... So then what's the point?

[Veronica Peters @vcpeters]

#jmarx110b @BreeSinclair1 I agree. An original manuscript would elicit a much different emotion in the reader due to its personality.

[Veronica Peters @vcpeters]

#jmarx110b @cassieAL I'm not saying that we should be fat because corn is in everything but that it is in everything because it is cheap.

[Veronica Peters @vcpeters]

#jmarx110b corn is in everything and fed to everything we eat.

[Veronica Peters @vcpeters]

#jmarx110b @thissillyasian who's to say that a person's idea of leisure couldn't be to eat an extravagant unhealthy meal?

[Veronica Peters @vcpeters]

#jmarx110b @ESneathen perhaps the idea of Santa giving presents to good people is sustained through life? Good things happen if you're good

[Veronica Peters @vcpeters]

#jmarx110b what happens when a child figures out Santa isn't real? Do they turn to a life of crime because they were never being watched?

[Veronica Peters @vcpeters]

#jmarx110b never thought about it before but I agree policing begins early. Doesn't Santa know when we are sleeping and when we're awake?

[Veronica Peters @vcpeters]

#jmarx110b Chromosomal sex is more closely related to gender.

[Veronica Peters @vcpeters]

#jmarx110b sexuality is derived from our perception of chromosomal sex, related by the fact that we notice differences between genders.

[Veronica Peters @vcpeters]

#jmarx110b @ESneathen One thing is the idea that a woman rejects her femininity in order to "be the phallus" (1188)

[Veronica Peters @vcpeters]

#jmarx110b If I've read this right, I'm a little offended by what L says on the bottom of page 1188.

[Veronica Peters @vcpeters]

#jmarx110b @Alyssa_270 Yes, I think D is saying writing is more scientific than language and I would agree: more logic goes into writing

[Veronica Peters @vcpeters]

@eve_tyler I feel the same way! But I think distance reading is more about analyzing trends and why forms of lit become popular. #jmarx110b

[Veronica Peters @vcpeters]

@HannahSharafian well I was thinking more along the lines of feeling/observing character interactions #jmarx110b

[Veronica Peters @vcpeters]

#jmarx110b I look forward to the day we can run simulations of our favorite books and think it would help to understand the piece better.
