🚨🔵Mudryk Doping Ban & Comeback Update ⚽

Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk has been sidelined since December 2024 after testing positive for a banned substance (meldonium).

The FA hit him with the maximum 4-year ban, which would keep him out until late 2028 if upheld. Mudryk strongly denies any intentional wrongdoing.

He appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on 25 February 2026.Both sides are exchanging written submissions — a hearing date is not yet scheduled.

Mudryk is staying fit with private training while his contract with Chelsea runs until 2031.Many close to the player are optimistic the ban could be reduced (like Paul Pogba’s case), potentially allowing a return in the 2026/27 season.

Chelsea are monitoring the situation closely and have considered a loan (e.g. to Strasbourg) to help him regain sharpness.
