This is certainly past due but great to see finally happen. Individualized risk assessments are the correct approach in screening potential blood donors. Current exclusionary practices only perpetuate stigma and work against our #EtHE efforts.

NEW: New York State Health Department is urging all New Yorkers, including kids, to get vaccinated against polio right away if they have not been already.
Following the case in Rockland County, polio virus was found in wastewater samples from early June, health dpt says.
NEW: President Biden just issued an order requiring US hospitals to provide abortion care if it would save a mother’s life— even if Republicans in a state ban it. Federal emergency treatment law supersedes state law.
