Everyone should check your voter registration status NOW—especially if you live in Texas.
Republicans are desperate to hold onto power, and they’ll cheat and suppress the vote to do so. Don’t assume you’re registered just because you’ve voted before.
Check. Verify. Be vigilant.
🇺🇦 Father and daughter. Two members of the same family who gave their lives for Ukraine.
Serhii Nykonenko, a fighter with the Aidar Battalion, died on January 18, 2015, following a Russian Grad rocket attack on Trokhizbenka. During the shelling, he shielded ammunition with his own body, preventing an explosion that could have killed his fellow soldiers. Serhii later died from his severe wounds in a hospital in Shchastia.
After losing her father, his daughter Yaroslava Nykonenko, callsign “Hera,” decided to defend Ukraine herself. She underwent military training and served as a sniper in the 101st Separate Brigade for the Protection of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On October 15, 2019, Yaroslava was killed by an enemy sniper near Marinka. She was only 36. A young daughter was waiting for her at home.
Today, August 25, Yaroslava would have turned 43. She was born on this day in 1983.
Her father died defending Ukraine. His daughter followed his path — and also gave her life for Ukraine.
One family. Two lives. Two devastating losses.
Eternal memory to Serhii and Yaroslava Nykonenko.
Deepest respect to all the Defenders of Ukraine who gave everything for their country. 🇺🇦
