I was traveling back home today when I entered this bus.
In the first few minutes, I noticed it was mostly guys, and some of them already knew each other. At first, we started talking about Nigeria, just random conversations here and there.
Before long, someone brought out drinks and cups, and those who wanted to drink started drinking while we were still on the road.
The journey became fun almost immediately. I laughed my lungs out. There was gist everywhere, everyone had something to say, and the energy was just flowing.
All of a sudden, someone suggested we stop at a popular local joint. We all agreed, and thatโs where everything got even more interesting. We formed a round table, and that was when I found out most of them were actually heading for a burial, except for a few of us they picked up along the way.
Not long after, people started bringing out money, and before you knew it, we had raised 50k. They ordered for suya and full basin of well-prepared meat and palm wine.
We talked, gisted, laughed, just pure vibes.
It was honestly crazy how I had such a good few hours with people I had never met before and might never see again.
We eventually got back on the bus and continued the journey, but until I got to my stop, I was just quietly praying the driver wouldnโt carry us enter bush, because even him don drink ๐ญ
