Like this is just insane to me. I just don’t understand this argument at all. It’s so childish after posting a full length review about how much you hate the game for the fact that it’s not a “game” to you. Like I genuinely don’t understand this level of misery
A two hour long game doesn’t have 100 thousand players in it at any given time… wow. It’s amazing how gamers have devolved so fucking much that they sound like teenage music stans. Since when do we care how many players are playing a single player game at one time
On that note I just want to say Life is Strange 1 is genuinely one of the worst games I’ve ever played and the only redeeming quality is Chloe being such a good character. Life is Strange 2 is a masterpiece though
It might go against what you value, but that doesn’t make it less of a game. Just because you don’t HAVE to press anything, does not mean it’s not a game. It means you are willing to let the story be bad. To engage in a way that ruins your experience. That’s your choice.
I’ve finally had enough time to think and I just want to say that everyone interacting with and shitting on Mixtape is just engaging with the game in bad faith. The game wasn’t meant for you and that’s okay. You don’t need to argue the semantics of what makes a video game a game.
Mixtape isn’t a game I plan on playing, but I’m very familiar with games like it. Games that encourage and require you, as a player, to genuinely care about the story in front of you. To experience it without thinking “how can I test the limits of this game? How can I fail?”
