What a great research symposium with fantastic fellow and resident presentations and honored guest @WarnerHuhUAB! And of course it wouldn’t have been complete without the legacy gala with leadership from @jubileebrown@wendel_naumann and Dr. Erin Crane!
If you were born with ovaries, you’re at risk of ovarian cancer. Know the signs: bloating, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, frequent urination. Listen, speak up, and #AskHer. Questions can lead to early diagnosis and save lives. #WorldOvarianCancerDay
Michelle and I can’t wait for you to visit the Obama Presidential Center!
Starting on June 19, the Center will be open to the public, and you’ll be able to check out the Museum along with public spaces like a new branch of the Chicago Public Library with a reading room, a two-acre playground, a fruit and vegetable garden, and more.
Tickets available at https://t.co/ahkDMKalIn.
Incredibly excited for @ASCO and @WAGO_org this year! Come find our abstracts (my co-fellow Dr. Goodwin and I) at ASCO and my oral presentation on the intersection of rural, ethnic, Medicaid related #disparities in #cervicalcancer at WAGO!
Abstract submission is closing soon for the IGCS 2026 Annual Global Meeting.
Submit your research before May 4, 2026 — 11:59 PM ET to be considered for presentation in Montréal.
Deadline: May 4, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET

#MYTHIC trial (CT022) - first-in-human data for #WEE1i#zedoresertib + #PKMYT1i#lunresertib in genomically selected solid tumors (#CCNE1 amp, #FBXW7 mut, #PPP2R1A mut). These alterations drive replication stress and have NO approved targeted therapy - 24.5% of ovarian, 18.4% of uterine cancers.
In resistant/refractory #ovariancancer at the lead dose: ▪️ 50% ORR, 83% DCR
▪️ 60% ORR in CCNE1-amp
▪️ 67% ctDNA molecular response rate
▪️ Responses after mirvetuximab, T-DXd, T-DM1
▪️ No myelosuppression.
Zero discontinuations.
First clinical proof-of-concept for synthetic lethality in this space. FDA Fast Track granted.

💫 #SGOAM2026 Highlight
@DGlaucomflecken as an invited speaker
He reflected upon his own cancer experience & cardiac arrest, and noted how this impacted his partner, @LGlaucomflecken, who is a co-survivor.
Oftentimes in our specialty of #oncology, we focus our conversations on the patient - their goals, treatment wishes, expectations. He reminded us that amongst all this essential dialogue, we should not overlook the person sitting just beside them - the wife, husband, partner, caregiver - the co-survivor.
Taking a moment to simply ask “how are you doing?” is more than a courtesy - it is an act of recognition. It acknowledges that #cancer does not happen in isolation, but within a network of relationships that also deserve care, compassion, and support. By intentionally including co-survivors in our conversations, validating their experiences, and guiding them to resources when needed, we reinforce a more human-centered approach to cancer care.
@DGlaucomflecken also talked about his approach to humor in medicine. His popular skits have gained a lot of attention online and his satirical themes resonates with the healthcare audience, not just because they’re funny but because they offer a rare space to process the realities we often experience.
He even debuted a new skit just for @SGO_org! Have you ever heard of the #LACCTrial? It is a landmark trial within the field of #GynOncology that changed our surgical approach to early-stage #cervicalcancer. It showed #minimallyinvasive #radicalhysterectomy for early-stage cervical cancer was associated with a worse disease-free survival & overall survival, compared to open surgery, thus shifting the standard of care toward open approaches. His approach to this topic has everyone laughing!
What are your thoughts on his latest skit? @pedroramirezMD@leitaomd@IJGConline@IGCSociety@gynoncjnls@karenluMD@matthewapowell@AngelesSecord@amandanfader@TeamEndo_MSK@GreggNelsonERAS@RSalaniMD@BPothuri@BillzamMD@Bhandoria@nicoleflemingmd@agz_eriksson@JCohenMD@MAvilaMD@VeeMuj

Very impactful data in the genetics session this am #SGOAM2026, estrogen replacement is safe in premenopausal BRCA mutation carriers and they should be offered this after risk reducing surgery. Dr. Blank highlighted the need to lead the charge in prevention and counseling. @SGO_org@RiosDoriaMD
Honored to present results of GOG 3039 Abemaciclib + Letrozole in advanced or recurrent endometrioid endometrial cancer. We observed median PFS of 9.5mo, OS not reached, & greatest benefit in chemo-naive pts! @GOG@SGO_org@EliLillyandCo
Dr. Gaillard providing an inspiring distillation on the research just presented at #SGOAM2026. We are making great progress in gynecological cancer with all the approvals in the last 10 years. We need to continue to do better, but an exciting time for progress. @SGO_org@RiosDoriaMD
We're kicking off Day 3 of #SGOAM26 with @WarnerHuhUAB and Stephanie Blank, MD for a panel discussion at Future of the Profession. Join us for another exciting day filled with poster tours, workshops and more! #GynOnc

#Ovariancancer finally got its first OS benefit from #immunotherapy.
#KEYNOTE_B96: #pembrolizumab plus weekly paclitaxel+/- Bev. HR 0.76 in CPS ≥1. HR 0.82 ITT. Lancet, tonight at #SGO2026.
** Two prior phase 3 ICI trials in this disease failed. Both targeted #PDL1. #Pembrolizumab targets #PD1. The backbone also differed->weekly paclitaxel primes the tumor immune microenvironment in ways PLD does not.
😵💫Two variables. One result. We cannot fully separate
them yet.
And now the question no trial has answered: #pembrolizumab is approved. #Mirvetuximab is approved. #Relacorilant just showed OS benefit. Three active regimens with survival data in platinum-resistant ovarian cancer.
Zero sequencing data. Zero biomarker algorithm to tell you which patient gets which drug first.

Paclitaxel + carboplatin + letrozole 🆚 letrozole
❎ letrozole arm did NOT demonstrate non-inferiority
❎ No stat. diff. in PFS or OS
🛜 Signal that No residual disease + letrozole alone may benefit
☑️ Chemo remains standard
