Today marks exactly 850 days since Jaggi was abducted from the streets of Punjab by plain clothed police officers in broad daylight. The abduction was followed by 4 days of consecutive physical torture.

This week my son was racially abused at school by an older white boy, who made fun of his dastaar.

This poem was for him, but it also serves as reminder of the abuse my generation endured.

It's our responsibility as POC to guide our children through these harsh lands.
