भारत में निर्वासन पर रह रही बांग्लादेश की मशहूर लेखिका तस्ल���मा नसरीन ने दावा किया है कि, बांग्लादेश में ईशनिंदा के आरोप में कट्टरपंथियों के हाथों मॉब लिंचिंग का शिकार हुए हिंदू युवक हदीपू चंद्र दास पहले पुलिस की हिरासत में था।
दीपू चंद्र दास पर एक नहीं बल्कि दो बार हमला हुआ था और दूसरी बार उसे मारा गया।

तस्लीमा नसरीन ने यह भी बताया कि दीपू के साथ काम करने वाले एक मुस्लिम कर्मचारी ने अपनी निजी खुन्नस में उसके ऊपर पैगंबर के बारे में अपमानजनक टिप्पणी ���ा आरोप लगा दिया था। दीपू ने पुलिस ने इस बारे में जानकारी भी दी थी लेकिन पुलिस ने कोई कार्रवाई नहीं की।
