Men feel it's their role to take initiative during romance, intimacy or initiating sex. So, they initiate it in their mind followed by actions after a while.

Feminism has convinced women that a man attempting to initiate an intimate interaction is equal to violating a woman.

This is a highly toxic narrative. After coming on a date and walking in a park with him, the expectation of the ideology is, the man will remain passive and he won't initiate anything. Otherwise, he is defined as a potential rapist.

The man risks rejection and he also risks of being termed as a potential rapist. Women subconsciously expect him to initiate intimacy and term him a misogynist if he does so.
