Though a temporary change of scenery piqued her interest, Victoria wasnโt entirely sold on the idea.
Her wifeโs comfortability was more important โ just as itโd always be.
โThere has to be a happy medium we can find. Something weโd both enjoy.โ
Eyelids flutter closed at the welcomed touch she received. A sound resembling a purr emitted without even realizing it.
โYou hate the city.โ She points out moments later, once able to regain a little bit of her focus.
a soft kiss was pressed to her
wife's temple once she laid her
head on her shoulder. fingers
still keeping up that gentle
massage.
`` perhaps tomorrow we take
a little trip to the city. ``
The door was swung open rather quickly, half expecting it to be her wife โ considering Melina had a habit of forgetting her own house key.
โDid you foโ Oh.โ She blinked, eyes landing on someone she most certainly hadnโt expected to show up in Ohio.
โYouโre worth it.โ
She offers a quiet correction, though without an ounce of hesitation.
And a yawn escapes parted lips mere seconds later, followed by the side of her head finding Melinaโs shoulder.
`` it is a lot of work, but it is
worth it, yes? ``
her voice was soft, gaze
flicking up to meet her wife's.
fingers softly digging into her
hip to massage that little spot.
Exhaustion written plain as day across her facial features โ body quick to become noticeably relaxed in that familiar embrace.
โI might have severely underestimated just how much work farms are...โ
That smile allowed for a short breath of relief to be expelled. She didnโt want an argument or any tension between them. Not when so willing and ready to try anything for the otherโs sake.
โั ัะตะฑั ะปัะฑะปั.โ She repeated, lifting off that vanity chair to steal a gentle kiss.
and there it was, the soft smile
that tugged at the corners of her
lips. one that was reserved only for
the woman that she loved.
`` ั ัะตะฑั ะปัะฑะปั. ``
( i love you )
was murmured in their mother tongue
with a small hum
She knew it wouldnโt be an easy adjustment. Her need to nurture and do some sort of good would likely go unfulfilled there.
But she had to tryโ because Melina had done so for her here.
โI promise, moya lyubov.โ A quiet agreement to the terms, face turning to nuzzle that hand.
`` a dog? that is something i would
not be opposed too. ``
she moved over to the other now
that her towel was secure around
her body. fingers gently gripping
her chin so their gazes met once
more.
`` but you have to make the promise
that you will tell me if it does not
work โ
Those emerald hues adverted once more. Choosing that moment to clear off some of the items that were slightly cluttering up her vanity.
โThen I will get a dogโ or two.โ
it did't take much longer for
melina to wash off the soap suds
and step out of the shower so
she could wrap herself up in a towel
to dry off, eyes soon finding their
way to her love once more.
`` i know you better than you think
the farm is isolated ria. no one
will visit. ``
Victoria would certainly be out of her element. That much she could not deny. But if it made Melina feel less out of place and comfortable, then she would give it her best shot.
โThen I will have something to keep me busy.โ A shrug that wouldnโt be seen, her legs going crossed.
`` i have not been there in
so long. it will need a lot of
repairs. ``
she just didn't want to force
victoria into such a task,
especially if they ended up
not staying.
a small groan left her lips as
straightened up and began to
wash herself down with her
favourite scented gel.
Green eyes are glued to the foggy glass door of the shower. The outline of Melina barely visible behind it.
โI want to try living there,โ She paused, fidgeting with her hands. โFor a few months at least, can we do that?โ
hands leaned against the wall
of the shower just letting the
water wash over her quietly
for a long few moments.
`` i am fine here. i have you
and that is all i need to be
happy. ``
