Hey James, saw your TC2000 copy, looks great. I'm building something similar with Claude so a couple of quick q's if you don't mind:
1. Which Massive plan are you on, and does it give you clean minute bars for backtesting, or just daily?
2. What are you drawing the charts with? Mine is quick but the axis/labels still look a bit homemade next to TC2000.
3. For the Bookmap idea, are you planning on IBKR depth? Heads up if so: I found you need the "NASDAQ TotalView-OpenView EDS" add-on ($1/mo) on top of TotalView or the API returns error 10089 and the book stays empty.
Happy to swap notes as you go. Good luck with it!
@FabianFindsEdge Yes your spot on. The trouble to me is its never taught like that and it creates false hope for new traders. The other problem is patternicity our eye picks up winning chart patterns and avoids the loosers. Ai doesn't do that and sobers my judgement.
@FabianFindsEdge Yes I've been using Claude to back test traders set ups and they pretty much all come out as negative. Cant beat random entry points. I think the traders that make it have discretion which can't really be taught as a set up.
