@HarmeetKDhillon Now do the Dept of Food and Ag’s DEI program that categorizes farmers by race and prioritizes them for various grant programs under the “socially disadvantaged farmer moniker. It’s unconstitutional and a similar Federal program was already dismantled by the Trump administration.
@sacbee_news You are unbelievable. If this were a Republican you would be calling for their resignation/dropping out of the race immediately and don’t even tell me otherwise. No wonder you’re a dying publication.
@CivilRights@AAGDhillon Excellent. Now do the California Department of Food and Ag and the "socially disadvantaged farmers and ranchers" definition established by the legislature in 2017, a clear racial preference/prioritization program for various ag grant programs.
@DwellerColorado@wideawake_media Humans have the ability to adapt, even if what you're saying about the increasing rate of change is true (doubtful). But instead of focusing on adaptation, we've spent resources trying to control the climate, which at best is arrogant and at worst, an excuse to control humans.
@the_transit_guy You don't understand the project. The train isn't really "fast." Too many stops kill average speeds and if ever fully built (doubtful at this point), travel will take much longer than by air. I suggest the opposite. Abundance of air travel made train a bad idea from the start.
@abc7newsbayarea@cmarinucci Or…another way to write that headline: “Nurses in San Francisco protested on Friday Kaiser Permanente's new pause on gender-mutilation surgeries for young people.”
@readforyourself@Susan_Shelley It is supposedly a “beneficiary pays” project, meaning those who receive water from it - mainly the 27 million people and the Central Valley farms it serves.
@Patterdude Just messing with you. I’ve received letters too. One for mulch and one for a Directv wire that ran down the side of my house. It was white. They told me I needed to paint it to color of house. You could hardly even see it from road. Glad they backed off on the garage photos!
@Patterdude No, not really. You didn't sign up for that. Better analogy: moving next to an airport and then complaining about the airport noise. You knew what you were getting into.
@Patterdude And now they want to change the rules for those of us in your district who have solar! After we made what at the time was a "no-brainer" investment.
