@TizzzyRBLX my new game had 1000ccu from algo alone right before the requirement popped up and it instantly got the limit- maybe within a couple hours but idk exactly
@jogamedev I probably put in a solid 5,000 - 10,000 hours developing several games over 5 years before I started making decent money. So at an arbitrary programmer's salary of $50/hour it'd be $250,000 - $500,000 cost lol
the hit detection and fighting is very laggy- you need to do hit-detection on the client: give client network ownership and apply the knockback there. Also the zombies getting flung so far makes combat really annoying cause you have to chase them down basically.
after 1 minute in the game I got teleported and I had no clue what was happening
all zombies stuck in running animation
Super proud of how this new game is coming along. Spent a couple weeks under 50 ccu, but @realr0cu and I kept consistent on making improvements to gameplay regardless. Roblox algorithm is taking notice :D
This guy was genuinely moving like Homelander lol.. But definitely take away from this that you NEED to double/triple check when pushing an update. Take it with the same care as if it was your own game! Even an hour of downtime can TANK a game stats and hurt it in the algo.
HMU if you're wanting chill & highly paid scripting work though
@ze3zyy When you make changes in your game at such a granular level- to improve some x or y stat- you usually are taking a trade-off in some other stat without realizing it. Over-time, the initial experience you built is washed away in micro-optimizations
I mean yea: I've gotten over half a billion visits by telling claude "make a fun Roblox game about ___ with high D1, D7 and playtime" .. works every time
roblox game studios will really buy 1.25% of a game and slap that in the "Portfolio" on their website π₯
talking about "50k online players on OUR games"
