To this day, I hate what happened to Lazlow in the GTA world.

In GTA3, he was hilarious and seemed like the only sane person in a town of looneys and psychos.

In Vice City, he was the cool rock radio DJ.

In San Andreas, bro was trolling OG Loc.

In IV, he's kinda desperate after starting to lose relevancy. But he's still OK.

In GTAV, he's such a cringe loser, I'm borderline ashamed of having considered him one of my all time favourite characters of the entire GTA universe.

Fr why did you guys have to do such a drastic character assassination on my boy 😭😭 ?!

Now I'm not saying I don't understand what they were going for with the character, his "arc", and the general satirisation of the radio big dog becoming the cringe TV host still chasing the high of his golden days...

But there also was that special something to feel and see yourself in Lazlow. In the sense that while the whole world was absolutely bonkers, Lazlow was the normal exasperated guy wondering what the heck was wrong with everybody around him.
