@nirvanicqueens personal experience, if I saw out someone was homophobic many years ago or when they were teenagers ill be mindful until i know what they are genuinely like now but like if you support us present day and call out homophobia then you’re cool with me type of thing
@nirvanicqueens This is such a refreshing take on cancel culture and I’m 100% the same, idc what yall did when you were teenagers or even 10 years ago, I care what you do now and what you’ve been doing the last couple couple years tbh that’s what you’ll get judge on by me
Turns out 17 year old me was kinda smart, but it’s something that’s stuck with me ever since. Not that I’ve been practicing any religion so idk if it’s still a thing but I think about it from time to time
Random thought… I went to a Catholic school and we were often told to extend our hands towards people during blessings, graduations, prayers, award ceremonies, etc. I know it wasn’t a Nazi salute and had a completely different meaning, but looking back it’s always surprised me
(We were blessing them bc they were moving)
I remember that night & feeling uncomfortable so I didn’t do it because of the resemblance. I don’t think I ever said anything because I didn’t want people to think I was accusing anyone of anything,
