Today is the anniversary of the wonderful judgment of two eminent judges of Madras High Court - Justice Sathyanarayana Rao and Justice N Rajagopalan - in the Shirur Mutt and Chidambaram Temple matters.

Judgment date is 13.12.1951

This judgment struck down the provisions by which Madras Govt "notified" temples and took over their administration. These provisions were declared unconstitutional.

45 temples - Including
a. Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple , Srirangam
b. Sri Arunachaleswarar Temple, Tiruvannamalai
c. Sri Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple, Madurai
d. Sri Kallazhagar Temple, Azhagarkoil
e. Sri Nachiyar Devasthanam, Srivilliputhur
d. Sri Subramaniaswamy Temple, Tiruchendur and
f. Sri Dhandayuthapani Swamy Temple, Pazhani

should have come out of Govt control because of this judgment. The then Congress Govt, the later DMK and AIADMK Govts did not want the temples to go back to the Hindus of Tamil Nadu -

Thus, @tnhrcedept is continuing to control these temples without any legal authority and only by fraud - for the past 72 years.

They have their servants functioning in these temples as "Executive Officers" - only by FRAUD

Temple lands and funds are for looting by politicians and bureaucrats - for 7+ Decades.

I have already filed a comprehensive PIL challenging this. My next three weeks would be spent on focussing to bring this case for final arguments and then legally throw TN Govt out of these Hindu temples.
