⚖️ Justice N.V. Shravan Kumar Exposes Illegal Construction by Owaisi’s Fatima College on Salkam Cheruvu Lake

In a strongly worded hearing at the Telangana High Court, Justice N.V. Shravan Kumar raised serious questions over the Barrister Fatima Owaisi Educational Campus (KG to PG) built in Bandlaguda, encroaching on the Full Tank Level (FTL) and buffer zone of Salkam Cheruvu (also referred to as Salakam Cheruvu) lake.

Key Points from the Court:
•Constructions since 2005: The judge expressed shock that large-scale building activity has been going on for nearly two decades, yet no authorities (GHMC, HMDA, Revenue, or Irrigation departments) verified permissions or took action.

•Official Inaction: Justice Shravan Kumar remarked that officials “did not take any steps to verify whether the said constructions have valid permission or not” from the initial stage till completion.

•Inquiry Ordered: The Court has directed a detailed inquiry into all erring officers who failed to act. Reports from HYDRAA, GHMC, HMDA, Revenue, and Irrigation departments are expected by July 7.

•Student Safety & Admissions: The institution has been directed to put up notices warning students and parents that admissions for 2026-27 are subject to the outcome of the pending writ petition. Admissions are at their own risk. The Court also raised concerns about structural safety - what if these buildings collapse?

•Selective Enforcement Questions: The judge questioned why agencies like HYDRAA, which aggressively act against other encroachments, showed no action here despite complaints.

This case, brought forward by advocate Vijay Gopal, highlights the long-standing issue of lake encroachments in Hyderabad and the need for uniform application of environmental and construction laws, regardless of influence.

Rule of law must prevail. Lakes are public assets they cannot be sacrificed for any institution, no matter how noble the stated purpose. Hyderabad’s water bodies have already shrunk alarmingly. Protecting them is not optional.

లెన్స్‌కార్ట్ తన పాలసీ డాక్యుమెంట్‌లో హిజాబ్‌ను స్వాగతిస్తూనే, బిందీ (బొట్టు) మరియు కలావా (చేతికి కట్టుకునే కంకణం) వంటి వాటిని అనుమతించబోమని స్పష్టంగా పేర్కొంది.

హిందూ మెజారిటీ ఉన్న భారతదేశంలో.. హిజాబ్‌ను అనుమతించి, సింధూరం మరియు కాషాయ దారం వంటి హిందూ చిహ్నాలపై నిషేధం విధించడం ఏంటి?

బొట్టు, సింధూరం, తిలకం, కంకణం (కలావా) వంటివి ఆఫీసులో "డిస్ట్రాక్షన్" (ఏకాగ్రత దెబ్బతీసేవి) అని భావిస్తే.. మరి హిజాబ్ ఎందుకు కాదు?

ఒకవేళ సిక్కుల తలపాగా (పగడీ) అనుమతించినా దానికి మళ్లీ "రంగు నిబంధనలు" (Color condition) పెట్టడం ఎందుకు?

లెన్స్‌కార్ట్ వ్యవస్థాపకుడు పీయూష్ బన్సల్ ఈ వివాదంపై స్పందిస్తూ, "ఇది పాత పాలసీ" అని వివరణ ఇచ్చారు. కానీ, సోషల్ మీడియాలోని “కమ్యూనిటీ నోట్స్”మాత్రం అది ఈ మధ్య కాలానిదే (ఫిబ్రవరి 2026 నాటిది) అని చెబుతున్నాయి.

కార్పొరేట్ ప్రపంచంలో "డ్రెస్ కోడ్" అనేది వృత్తిపరంగా (Professionalism) ఉండాలి. కానీ, ఆ నియమాలు కేవలం కొన్నింటికే వర్తిస్తే.. అది వృత్తి నైపుణ్యం కంటే పక్షపాతంలా కనిపిస్తుంది.

కేవలం హిందూ చిహ్నాల పట్ల మాత్రమే ఈ చిన్నచూపు ఎందుకు? మన కస్టమర్లలో మెజారిటీ హిందువులే ఉన్నప్పుడు, వారి పట్ల ఇలాంటి వివక్ష చూపడం ఎంతవరకు సమంజసం?

మన సంప్రదాయాలను చూసి అవమానంగా భావించే సంస్థ నుండి వస్తువులను హిందువులమైన మనం ఎందుకు కొనాలి?

నిజం చాలా స్పష్టం:

👉 నియమం అంటూ ఉంటే అందరికీ సమానంగా ఉండాలి.. లేదా అసలు ఉండకూడదు.
👉 ఈ 'సెలెక్టివ్ రూల్స్' (నచ్చిన చోటే అమలు చేయడం) అనేది అన్నింటికన్నా పెద్ద సమస్య.

ఆధునిక కంపెనీలు అని పిలిపించుకునేటప్పుడు.. వారి ఆలోచనా విధానం కూడా ఆధునికంగా ఉండాలి కానీ, పాతకాలపు 'అప్డేట్ అవ్వని' పాలసీలలా ఉండకూడదు.

ఈ 'సెలెక్టివ్' నిబంధనలు లెన్స్‌కార్ట్ పట్ల హిందూ కస్టమర్లలో తీవ్ర ఆగ్రహాన్ని కలిగిస్తున్నాయి.
