🔸Meet Bandi Bhageerath, Son of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay, against whom a case under POCSO Act was lodged yesterday for Raping a 17 years old Girl at his Farm House.
🔸As a return Gift, Minister's Son also lodged a case of Honey-Trapping and Extortion against the Mother of the Girl.
🔸When Rich and Powerful face the music then it becomes Extortion and When it is about common Men then they demand Encounter? What kind of Equality before Law is this?
🔸Bandi Bhageerath was notorious for beating fellow students when he was a student at Mahindra University in Hyderabad. In Jan 2023, an FIR was lodged against him after the University disciplinary committee filed a complaint with the police that Bandi Bhagiratha attacked a student named Shriram. After that police registered a case against Bhagirath under IPC sections 341, 323, 504, 506, and 34, and also under Section 4 (ii) of The Andhra Pradesh Prohibition of Ragging Act, 1997.
🔸But, nothing happened and the student who was beaten later issued a statement saying that he did not want any action against the Son of the Minister.
🔸Police instantly arrest the accused in POCSO cases and many state Police also do instant encounter of such accused. Lets see whether @hydcitypolice will do the encounter of the Son of the Minister or he will be arrested or they will take no action against him because his Father is the Union Minister of State for Home.
