The Arizona Diamondbacks will open 2024 with Geraldo Perdomo as their starting shortstop, but is this the right choice after his poor second half?

[Fuzzy @fuzzyfromyt]

The Dbacks have easily had an A off-season:

Traded for Eugenio Suarez
Signed Eduardo Rodriguez
Signed Lourdes Gurriel Jr
Signed Joc Pederson
Signed Randall Grichuk

Randall hit .328 with a 165-OPS+ vs lefties last year..

I like Arizona A LOT

[VenomStrikes @venomstrikesFS]

Fwiw, 2023 Grichuk vs LHP+2023 Pederson vs RHP=.265/.341/.483 (.841 OPS). Pretty good production if that's what they can do combined next year at designated hitter.

[Arizona Diamondbacks | Stats & Info @DbacksStatsInfo]

#Dbacks GM Mike Hazen stays true to
his word.

Grichuk, 32, hit .267 with Colorado and Anaheim last year (.779 OPS, 103 OPS+, 1.4 oWAR with COL but -0.1 oWAR with ANA).

He hit .287 v. LHP in 2023 with an .836 OPS.

@spotrac put his value at $8M per year.

[VenomStrikes @venomstrikesFS]

The Arizona Diamondbacks have signed veteran outfielder Randal Grichuk to a one year deal as a platoon option at designated hitter.

The Diamondbacks have some intriuging former late round draft picks who will be interesting to watch during the 2024 minor league season.
