Dearest general population of travellers, I dont know why this is a pet peeve of mine, but please:
Don’t line up to board if its not your zone to board. If you get rejected, you just look bad, and you’re slowing it down for everyone else. 😋
Look, @ubcokanagan will always be my alma mater, but now being a Grad Student at TRU, I can't help but be excited for these five students from TRU's small but mighty inaugural class of Engineering graduates. Welcome to the Iron Ring club!
Since *nobody* was asking, I've decided to document the first part of my Grad School Journey here!
Now, my first MBA course is Marketing Management, and it's made me realize how interesting consumer behavior is. I'm loving it. Now, interestingly enough...
🧵As Mayors of the two cities that straddle Member of Parliament Michael Cooper’s riding, Mayor @CathyHeron and I are troubled by a photo of MP Cooper that is being circulated with an upside down Canadian flag with a hateful symbol of a swastika on it.
Edmonton-St. Albert is a diverse community in the suburban part of the city that needs you to represent us. As a person of colour I don’t accept your “apology” - or lack thereof. You and your team should know better and to call out these situations - Not finger point in a tweet.
I live in St. Albert-Edmonton. The picture you may have seen today (below) is of my MP.
@Cooper4SAE As an MP I expect you understand the repercussions of the social situations you’re in, and the potential of those around you. I am SO horrifically disgusted. 😔#ThatsNotMySAE
Congratulations to @ubcosoe Executive Associate Dean Rehan Sadiq for his appointment as Provost pro tem @ubcokanagan. His dynamic leadership has played an instrumental role in the School's on-going success. Read the official announcement here: https://t.co/BZKL616ahp
Although I’ve never met @DrNadiaChaudhri, I can’t help but be moved by her advocacy and her story - and I’m heartbroken for her family. Her Twitter was a source of unrelenting bravery and inspiration. Rest in Power, Dr. Chaudhri. https://t.co/cYvgteJVda
@DrNadiaChaudhri passed away yesterday evening, having reached the end of her road with ovarian cancer. She leaves behind her Sun and Moon, a loving extended family, colleagues and students, friends around the world, and so many others who have been touched by her & her story 1/n
Well, my transition documents are in and today is my last day on-site at the Whitla Wind Project. I just got the kindest compliment from my senior manager, and I won't ever forget how awesome the last six months have been.
"I can see you as an Executive VP, Ven. I really can."
Currently at @APEGA_AB's Emerging Professionals Summit, hosted virtually! Its been quite informative to have insightful discussions on PEng registration, entrepreneurship, innovation, generational gaps, and climate change. Truly learning #TheHowofWow! #EmergingPros#APEGAeducates
I just found out that the county I'm currently working in has one of the lowest first-dose vaccination rates in Alberta at 45%.
And one of the highest active case rates at 733 per 100,000.
I'm scared. Even though my last day on site is next week, I'm terrified.
