Victim was selling various items via social media. He was contacted online by 2 males who attended at his address and appeared to transfer payment for the goods via a banking app. The victim contacted his bank, discovering no money was transferred.

We are appealing for information after a 28-year-old man was found injured in the Clarence Street area at around 1am this morning.

He was taken to hospital for treatment, before being released. Enquiries into the serious assault are ongoing.
