The BILL is about protecting big TECH from its CURRENT state LAWSUITS for Addiction 🚨🚨 .

The House bill replaced the Senate's "Duty of Care" with "reasonable policies." Duty of Care" allows State Attorneys General (AGs) to sue tech companies for *designing* addictive products.

They switched it from "DUTY OF CARE" (The Senate Position / S. 1748) The company has a legal obligation to actively prevent foreseeable harm.

Now they have "NO DUTY OF CARE" (The House Position / H.R. 7757) which is a Liability Shield • cannot sue us for designing a dangerous product. The House bill (H.R. 7757) switched OUT the Duty of Care and replaced it with "reasonable policies"

Now , State AGs lose their ability to sue BIG TECH for negligence. The bill kills the state lawsuits the TECH COMPANIES are facing . 🚨🚨

This is clearly being CRAFTED to help BIG TECH avoid its lawsuits
