"As more of our cultural heritage moves online, a troubling question is emerging: what happens when the things we create, share, and cherish simply disappear?"
From our 1st episode of the 6-part series on Vanishing Culture, out today on Future Knowledge. https://t.co/N2ggWsbpn3
@AnnaWhiteVP Pure noir detective style! A glass of whiskey was missing but the exhaustive smoke did the heavy lifting. So many grey curves and nuances there, love 'em, detective 😌
this obsession with every video game having ultra realistic graphics is so at it’s core anti art and i am fed up of people not acting like it is. is it impressive when games do manage like death stranding 2? hell yeah. absolutely gorgeous work. but every game does NOT need it.

@Spiggy_Smalls@dabutlergames@SkallEdit Wow, this is a bit condenscending and disregardful of others. (1) VP is photography, but a photography in a simulated environment, and (2), these awards should be for everyone, not a select others who afford to spend thousands of €£ on hardware. Why do you focus on hyperrealism?
@synaktis Hey, Lisa, I believe the message we sent is a bit different than the one you're talking about... it's strictly about accurate judging, not about something else. Needless to say, dialogue is the basis between people, so I don't understand why we shouldn't talk about something?
@Spiggy_Smalls@dabutlergames@SkallEdit It does matter, though. They need to know the limitations, opportunities and weaknesses of vanilla too, that's how you can understand the thought process behind a picture, how much effort it went into it to get out of those limitations and how someone used it to their advantage
@Spiggy_Smalls@dabutlergames@SkallEdit Yes, but when you are a judge, you must know how vanilla works too, so you can have an accurate knowledge and criteria to judge a picture (done with vanilla). By knowing vanilla you can also value a modded photomode better too.
