The problem with Ethereum (Cardano and Sol) is the initial supporters and foundations got way too rich, too early and got too comfortable.
ZCash is the opposite, the supporters and foundation went through the most grueling psychotic down-only price action ever, making the developers essentially price insensitive and the holders the most psychotic diamond hands imaginable.
Signed, guy who whaled into ETH at $4, sold at last year, who also whaled into XMR at $20-50 range, exited in 2022, who also bought BTC in size $500-$1500 range, who is buying ZCash now.
I have NEVER whaled into a coin that performed badly long-term after my entry (except for ETH but I still exited at 500-1000x)
Zigher, the run hasn't even started.
Zcash $ZEC was allegedly exploited by Claude Opus 4.8 and is down 25% today
If they release Mythos, we might see a bloodbath across the entire crypto sector
Most Bitcoin bridge designs require permanent locked collateral.
What if bonds only needed to exist during disputes?
Our latest research paper formalizes FLEX & FLEX2: a framework for on-demand security bonds using BitVM-style dispute systems, garbled circuits, Taproot, and CDS primitives.
The paper includes formal security proofs for:
• On-chain enforceability
• CDS secrecy
• Soundness
• Leakage-bounded privacy
• UC realization

AI might not cause productivity to accelerate. It might actually accelerate, the onset of the surveillance state, or a type of world where capital is gonna flee the system. I think that thesis is very much intact. I think that's why you're seeing a lot of crypto like Zcash run very, very aggressively. - @goodalexander
The world’s best cryptographers couldn’t find any bug in Zcash’s Orchard pool
But Claude Opus 4.8 was able to outclass every human auditor
You can shit on Zcash all you want, but:
1. These guys invested millions of dollars in audits, were honest about the outcome
2. No project is safe right now. Anthropic’s AI can untie the Gordian knot
3. We are living truly unprecedented times for security. Basically everything will be exploited in the coming months.
Which is good news for security because improvements will be made, but bad news for investors who might lose money.
Binance Research: Crypto users could bring $5T in annual incremental equity capital over the next five years
Binance Research said crypto exchanges are becoming a new gateway to global equity markets, with nearly 93% of Binance stock trading users coming from emerging markets.
The report estimates that by 2031, crypto exchanges could channel $2 trillion in incremental capital and nearly 300 million new investors into global equity markets. In a bull case, crypto users could bring $5 trillion in annual incremental equity capital over the next five years.
It added that stablecoin-settled stock trading and tokenized equities could reduce cross-border costs, while TradFi-linked perpetuals already account for about 10% of stablecoin trading volume.

ELON MUSK: The Future of Energy Is Beyond Earth.
"It's increasingly difficult to build power plants on the ground. There are very few people who want a power plant in their backyard, so if we wanted to say double the electricity usage of the United States, which is on average about 500 gigawatts, we would have to build, about twice as many power plants, which I don't think people are, well, most communities are not super excited about that, but actually, if we go to space, we can go far beyond the electricity generation of Earth.
In fact, this is going to sound kind of crazy, but you could actually increase harnessed energy by a factor of a million and still be using much less than a millionth of the sun's energy, so current human civilization uses much less than a trillionth of the sun's energy output, which is kind of humbling to think about."
Zcash has unparalleled cryptographers, security engineers, and security researchers. And the community is heavily focused on continuous improvement and hardening the network. That's why it engages world class security researchers to look for bugs. And that's why the recent potential exploit was found. It wasn't by accident and it's a vote of confidence, not a cause for alarm. When it comes to any L1, there will be bugs. What's important is that there are world class researchers focused on hardening the network and staying ahead of the bad guys. This has always been and always will be the dynamic of building software that is secure. Onward.
The Holy Trinity is dead. Sadly due to the Orchard Pool exploit, I had to dump our entire $ZEC bag.
- While I think it's extremely unlikely of any minting, it cannot be formally cryptographically proved impossible
- The privacy from AI, govt, big tech narrative demands perfection not improbability
- I read about the exploit yday, and didn't appreciate how it violated my narrative mental map. The 30% dump, made me rethink, and I had to take profit on the entire position
- We will consistently re-evaluate our thinking and if my assumptions are proven incorrect, will rebuy, hopefully at lower prices.
- Privacy is priceless and I have no issue eating humble pie and rebuying much higher.
We still hold $WLD and are excited for Lord Elon to pump our bags.
