I am amongst the voice of the opposition in INDIA & everyday I attack the government on television & social media, am severely critical of the PM & his ministers and no one has ever taken any action against me. I find it offensive you compare my country's press freedom with Emirates or Cuba ! Sure all INDIAN's would want even greater freedom of speech but your comparison of freedom of media in INDIA being comparable with regimes that police FoS is absolutely false & unfortunate! PM needs to stop virtue signalling. Convoys and security protocols and arrangements should be based on threat perception. PM and HM are in high risk and shouldn’t compromise on security. All other ministers can make do with even one vehicle. State ministers and babus should not get more than one vehicle. These people should not travel with an army of attendants and hanger ons. Put an end to that even if there was no austerity.

She is currently working as an AI and Machine Learning Specialist at Accenture.
Her husband Atul Subhash died on December 9 2024. He left a 24 page note and an 81 minute video. He named her. He named her mother. He named her brother. He documented 9 cases, 120 court hearings, 4 years of his life destroyed.
She was arrested. She got bail.
She went back to work.
Today she sits in an Accenture office running AI models while Atul’s parents in Bihar have not seen their grandson in years.
While Atul’s brother Bikas goes to court alone every single time.
While Atul’s ashes wait for justice.
Accenture knows who she is. They have not acted.
India forgot. Accenture forgot.
That is how this system works.

She watched her colleagues beat them through the entire night.

When the judicial magistrate came to investigate she was terrified.
Her male colleagues stood outside the room trying to listen to her statement.
They intimidated the magistrate himself.
She signed her statement anyway.
The Madras High Court ordered police protection for her and her family the same day.
She told reporters she did not want any of this publicity.
She said she was ready to face dismissal.
She was not dismissed.
She testified again in court in 2022.
Yesterday 9 police officers were sentenced to death.
Her statement in 2020 is the reason that sentence exists.

The criminal case against Nikita has been adjourned to November 2026.
Anju Devi’s son is gone.
Her grandson is with the woman accused of abetting his death.
She has no legal right to demand visitation.
In India grandparents have zero legal right to meet their grandchildren.
No law. No provision. No recourse.
India has laws for everything.
It has nothing for a grandmother’s grief.
