GOVERNMENT WORKERS WORRY THEIR PENSIONS WILL DISAPPEAR

A government employee recently shared with me how worried they and their colleagues are about what’s happening to their retirement funds.

They’ve heard discussions about GSIS, SSS, PhilHealth, and even DBP and LandBank funds being drained.

The biggest concern is the ₱250 billion taken for the Maharlika Fund, which still hasn’t been accounted for.
On top of that, the government’s deficit hit ₱1.2 trillion in 2024, and they plan to borrow another ₱625 billion for 2025.

Government workers fear that by the time they retire, there won’t be anything left in their GSIS funds.

This isn’t just about government employees. Ordinary Filipinos rely on SSS for their pensions, PhilHealth for medical bills, and Pag-IBIG for housing.
If these funds continue to be mismanaged, it’s the working class who will suffer the most.

People are starting to ask: Where is our money going?

Who will protect our hard-earned contributions?

The fear and frustration are growing, and it’s clear we can’t stay silent.

It’s time for all Filipinos to demand accountability and protect the future we’ve all worked so hard for.
