As fall progresses and migratory birds are on the move, HPAI or "bird flu" is again on the rise.
Our scientific program director, Jasmine Bruno covers all the work we've done so far to address bird flu, including partnering with researchers at @ucdavis to produce the WaterFowl Alert Network , the world’s first remote sensing tool designed to make daily predictions of where waterfowl roost, with @BarnwellBio to monitor bird flu infections of animals through waste streams.
Bruno also discusses the grants we've given to Dr. Sushil Paudyal of @TAMU to research effective decontamination in milk & with Dr. Mohit Verna of @LifeAtPurdue to create a rapid diagnostic test for livestock.
