I was just texting my dear friend and Ex-WXEXtv (Now @8NEWS ) colleague Brian Smith about this. The first time I saw Ernie Johnson, Jr. was the 1986 Peach Bowl at Atlanta's Fulton County stadium. Known then as the son of the great Ernie Johnson, Sr, the Atlanta Braves TV announcer. We were all young pups then. Hokies K Chris Kinzer kicked a 40yd FG to win over NC State 25-24, fueling my love for Sports. As the game wore on, I was frantically running around. We all had field passes then. But there was Ernie, kneeling, calmly writing in his notepad, charting plays. He was a pro then and now. Tip of my cap to him. 🫡

It’s time.

Trade: Colts have agreed to send eight-time Pro-Bowl guard Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks, per me and @rapsheet. Nelson is on an expiring contract and the Colts are opting to get back draft capital now before they could lose him in free agency.

But an all-time Colt now moves on to the Seahawks.
