@tractorbadger @JasonReidUK We had a number of sessions. Condom over the cucumber and an anonymous questions box. Had a whole term of 1 lesson a week. Learnt about contraception, birth control and STD’s (I think that was the acronym back then)😂 but didn’t learn a thing about HIV or AIDS if I remember. 🤔

@tractorbadger @JasonReidUK Yeah. In primary school I was allowed to play netball with the girls because there was ONE girl that wanted to play football with the boys. As an exception, was allowed to swap. I got to high school and I was FORCED to play rugby & I was one of the smallest most feminine boys.

@tractorbadger @JasonReidUK Funnily enough - boys were assigned woodwork & Graphics, girls got textiles and cooking. Genders were segregated too to the default Hetero ‘family’ roles until after I left the school - my brother being one of the only boys allowed to do textiles.

Movie days - no LGBT ppl in any movie we watched. R.E. Taught homosexuality is a sin, man & wife was the only ‘right’ pairing.
