🚨 BREAKING CEASEFIRE UPDATES 🚨
"We are disappointed with how US behaved. Netanyahu's call to Vance during the meeting shifted the focus from US-Iran negotiations to Israel's interests. The U.S. tried to achieve at the negotiating table what it could not achieve through war. We came here with good faith, the press conference by Vance before he left Pakistan was unnecessary, we are committed & prepared to safeguard our nation's interest and sovereignty"- Iran FM Seyed Abbas Araghchi

The narrative of “3 million martyrs” and “10 million refugees” regarding the 1971 War of Liberation, which the Awami League and India have been swearing by for aeons, has been at the axis of their existence.
However, the facts say otherwise.
None other than the Indian Army Commander Lieutenant General Prem Nath Hoon himself confirmed that the actual number of refugees was only 90,000. Yet, the 90,000 number was inflated to 10 million, simply to evoke sympathy and mobilize funds from the international community.
In the same vein, American journalist William Drummond conducted an on-site investigation in post-war #Bangladesh, and found that the death toll reported to the Inspector General of Police was only about 2,000. However, the Awami League concealed the true number and whipped up the epic myth of “3 million martyrs”.
Thus, it is clear as day that all the political power of the Awami League relies on a mere fabricated history. The exaggerated number of martyrs and refugees is akin to lifesaving oxygen for them.
And, if this narrative is proven refutable, the existence of the Awami League will dissipate like camphor. So, an independent international commission is urgently needed today – where well-known military historians, journalists, and strategists will investigate the true events on the ground. Only then will it be revealed who killed how many people and where, the actual number of those rendered refugees, and the actual nature of the operation conducted by the Pakistan Army.
In fact, this investigation is not a mere question of numbers; it is a battle of the truth versus blatant lies.
When it comes out in the open that numbers like 90,000 and 2,000 were made into 10 million and 3 million, the conspiratorial propaganda of the Awami League will collapse.
The Indian narrative will also then be discarded into the ruins of falsely constructed history. The new Bangladesh will then stand on a history based on the undiluted truth – where no more falsehood or deception will find a platform.
Insha’Allah, the truth will triumph over all else, and history will testify that this generation broke the cycle of lies and liberated the previously ensnared truth.
*Bangladesh Army Chief’s Statement: Six Dangerous Mistakes*
The statement Army Chief Waqar made last Wednesday was not only irresponsible, but also dangerous from a political standpoint. He is someone who has tried to invalidate the legitimacy of the interim government formed through a people's mass uprising. In doing so, he has also clearly established his stance against the sovereign authority of Bangladesh's common people.
The interim government may have been formed at a time when Hasina's fascist constitution's ghost still loomed over the country. However, this government's political credibility comes from its very source--the people's revolution. What the army chief is essentially doing by denying this reality is creating a counter-revolution of sorts, one that aims to weaken the interim government and reinstate the former fascist regime.
We have always respected the army and trusted in the goodwill of its chief. However, keeping in mind that the army is fundamentally a national institution, Army Chief Waqar must abide by the limits of the constitution and law.
Instead, his statement is sending out some messages that threaten the nation's safety and democracy:
1.“I have no guardian.”
He is denying people’s sovereignty and seeking to establish ‘military exceptionalism’ in the country. If the fact that the interim government is the guardian of the people is ignored, there will be a fear of military sovereignty being imposed in the country.
2.“Only the elected governments can make any decisions.”
He is demanding a military veto, denying the popular mandate of the present interim government. But a government, which is standing on the basis of public trust, can certainly make decisions even before the next election takes place, as it happened in 1972.
3.“The army is the last resort.”
This is a declaration of breaking down the balance of power within the state. The military is not an ‘all-powerful controller’ at all. In a democratic country, it is merely an institution.
4.“An elected government must be installed on January 1, 2026.”
This is a direct order that the army is seeking to impose on the political agenda and programmes of the people. Military orders cannot replace people’s orders.
5.“Those who are spreading rumours will face punishment.”
This is certainly an authoritarian threat. Citizens have the right to criticize any public issue. Calling their right to criticize an ‘anti-national conspiracy’ is a dictatorial political language.
6.“We will be even tougher.”
They are calling mass resistance a ‘plague’ and announcing the establishment of authoritarian rule. The civil rights and freedom of expression are facing a serious threat. The shadow of fascism is looming large over the country.
The army chief has no authority to command over the state and its people.
