#AirCanada flight attendants should just ignore the government's imposition of forced arbitration. Other major unions should join them in a sympathetic strike. Mind you, all that would be illegal under Canadian labour law.

The facile invocation of Section 107 whenever a strike inconveniences the Canadian economy perversely distorts labour negotiations and undermines what the Supreme Court of Canada has said is a fundamental constitutional right. It has fundamentally broken Canadian labour law.

If you accept that non-citizens have no right to due process, you are accepting that citizens have no right to due process. All the government has to do is claim that you are not a citizen; without due process you have no chance to prove the contrary.
