Kai Havertz talking about his sugar intake in 2023 ๐ฌ:
๐ฃ๏ธ "We had a cook in London at the beginning, who came every day and cooked for us. And I have to say, I did not feel good at all.
This had the complete opposite effect on me. He said to me, because I'm a total sugar freak. You probably noticed yesterday: I drink Coke after the game, and I need sweets and stuff because that gives me strength and energy, and he then said, stop completely with it.
And then we got a nutritionist at Chelsea, and he completely went the other policy and said, 'Kai, you need the Fanta, you need the Coke, drink one a day'.
At half-time, I get gummy bears, Skittles or something. And he has completely followed the other policy, and I was full of energy again."
Kai Havertz has registered a goal or assist in 48% of the Premier League games he has started under Mikel Arteta ๐
The highest rate of any player under Arteta ๐ด
You watch him do all of this, watch him cover the most distance of any CF, & wonder why his finishing becomes horrendous in Jan-March.
He is a victim of having shit teammates. Truly the best of us. A platformed Kai would be unstoppable
๐ฃ๏ธ Mikel Arteta on Havertzโs best position:
"The best position is in relation to what the game demands and what the team demands on the day - to be as efficient and unpredictable as possible.
"Kai is extremely intelligent - thatโs his biggest quality. He understands the game - heโs five, 10 seconds ahead.
"He knows whatโs happening, he doesnโt need to think about it - he just acts, and it makes the people around him better which is another massive quality.
"On top of that, heโs scoring goals, producing chances. Heโs outstanding, and heโs in a great emotional state at the moment."
๐ฃ๏ธ on if his best position can change game by game:
"It can, yes, because you can play as a nine, but what do you play as a nine? Whatโs your role with and without the ball?
"Itโs a lot of things, a position on the pitch. When you put it in a tactical world, you probably put the nine in the centre - but then what do you do when thereโs a set-piece, a transition moment, a high press, what if the goalkeeper is right or left-footed?
"There are a lot of factors that are going to take that space and the initial position to a different dimension."
