So a small story about yesterday ...

In morning while we were making sure everything is working and person came to the booth and started asking ...

how much does your motor cost to you?
how much does camera cost to you?
what margins have you kept?
what are your cogs?

why would work on something china is making

now we all have a little sense to gauge the vibe of a person the tone felt like an attack

I politely said I am not comfortable sharing that data at the moment if you would like to know the capability of the machine I can def help

( I didnt even know his name btw till now )

this is 10-11am in morning the day has just started and I am trying to shrug this off

thankfully alot of people from twitter came genuinely interested and asked for quotes on spot

Alot of the visitors also just gave their cards to send quotes and how this is the machine they were looking for at the price point

I have now forgotten about the morning instance and happy that I am getting such good response

THEN the same guy shows up with a notepad in his hand and says

"Hey I am back and I am a judge"

and started attacking again by saying

" if I was in electronics I wouldn't buy it because its for hobbyists " ( works in Ather btw )
" I can hire 12 people and make this "
" this is a solved tech "

and these arent questions these were statements without being in the industry and would not let me answer single one and kept interrupting

I think this was around 1-2pm and honestly ruined the mood I was in, we had travelled from mumbai with all the machines

Assembled at office, tested, disassembled, reached blr assembled the full machine back, calibrated and took it to IIM, I was exhausted

Still super excited for the event were it was the first time showcasing machines live to people and I was enthusiastic to be in company of deeptech founders too

I know youre supposed to shrug these 1% of people off but him being a judge did get to me

I didnt plan on sharing but the messages and RFQs from people yesterday just made my day

A story in my journey that its important to keep going you cant make everyone happy

Thankyou all for showing up, it was a wonderful event, ( rest of the judges were great and polite ) got to meet so many of you in person!
