@DPGBehler You're an absolutely SHAMEFUL representative of Pelagians. How cowards like you and Nate squatch and Flowers ever became our "champions" I'll never know.
@smithwriting@Soteriology101@jdpritchett@jerry_duck48985 Yes, although I don't pretend to know why. In doing so he is being EXTREMELY dishonest and really doing a profound disservice to people like me who agree with him. I'm a proud Pelagian even if I'm the only one willing to own it.
@MethodMinistry@DPGBehler I'm a proud Pelagian AND a Provisionist. I don't know why there are so many in my camp that refuse to be honest about what we believe. Shameful.
I came here looking for fellow followers of Pelagius because I found my home in the Provisionist camp after years of ostracism only to be treated like an outsider by my own people. Unreal.
@Soteriology101@jerry_duck48985 Why would you use Grok to respond to a theological discussion? lol
You really don't even know what you believe do you?
Maybe you need to sit this one out "Dr." Flowers
@MichaelShawley@ThugLifeSproul "...he shows how we ought to resist the devil, if we are indeed in submission to god and by doing his will to merit divine grace..." although with the spirit he admits assistance but it isn't neccessary
@MichaelShawley@ThugLifeSproul Well, I believe (as did Pelagius) that god gives us strength to obey and the capacity and that our obedience can/does merit grace even apart from a savior.
@Soteriology101@jdpritchett@jerry_duck48985 Read Pelagius. Pelagianism is how I became a Provisionist... it's the only modern system I've found that gives adequate treatment to the doctrine of man and his divinity
@MichaelShawley@ThugLifeSproul the reformed place far too much importance on god's initiative, they give no place to man's autonomy or his divinity as does most of conventional christendom. Provisionism seems to be most closely aligned to the true doctrine of man
@MichaelShawley@ThugLifeSproul Read Pelagius's Letter to Demetrias and his commentary on Ephesians for starters. Augustine recounts a lot of the core tenets although he comes to absurd conclusions
@MichaelShawley@ThugLifeSproul It really irks me that so many ignorant people in the church don't seem to even know what they're talking about. Read some books.
