@nickliubackspin@lilazzera@lutztoes@bruinsyaoi It’s because Kaori is like a champion and has a huge rating. Alysa’s 3Lz+3T is still a debate, I don’t know how you judge underrotations but is not an objective thing. Champions often are not called on their underrotations and other mistakes - that’s a well known thing
@nickliubackspin@loonantonelli Bro she needed the quad solely because of her lower GOEs because it was her first international competition. And it was her first competition because of the ban. Alysa was enjoying the rink all year without Russian athletes to compete with. The only delulu here is you
@nickliubackspin@lutztoes@bruinsyaoi It’s easier to perform when you don’t have a single quad jump and huge GOEs and no one calls out your underrotations. Adeliia’s triple jumps (Alysa also have like only triples) were like okay
@loonantonelli bro doesn’t know about the concept of circumstances. One of the strongest nations in figure skating being banned, having no entrance to international competitions for 4 years is a huge undeniable factor
@lutztoes@bruinsyaoi OG was Adeliia’s first international competition, she went with 0 experience thats why she was giving lower GOEs. It was not a fair competition
@FactualSophist@Diq160 Out of 27 mil dead 15-17 mil were civilians 10-12 milion military deaths caused by German mistreatment of Soviet POWs. 3 milion died as the result of hunger and disease. Soviets even after the war never treeated Germans this way. Direct combat deaths are roughly the same

@yohlankaster@brightfeathermf@PalmyrPar yes! also Adeliia had to jump this quad (on which she fell) because if she would be performing the Alysa type of programme (less complicated) she would not podium 100%, so she had to take the risk. Strong fed and international experience mattered, all gone because of the ban
@kaoris_dblaxel but the most important factor in scoring is actually the international rating that also remain 0 for Russian athletes for 4 years. That’s why Adeliia was aiming for this damned 4T at OG-2026. She just had to take the risk, even with her strong programme she just wouldn’t podiumed
@kaoris_dblaxel they were among the strongest prior to ban, now the athletes performing under AIN are basically unprotected + have to deal with dumb fed domestically (how they are choosing who would perform in the handful of international events they are allowed is literally cruel)
@kaoris_dblaxel The same thing with Mao Shimada for instance, I saw people saying she is such a goat that she won every single major international event, and like yeah, the Russians weren’t there for those 4 years and we know how strong juniors they have. I’m okay with her but like bfr
@kaoris_dblaxel the only major circumstance is that Sasha was banned for 4 years along with all Russian athletes, so skaters like Alysa had the chance to win the mentioned titles. Sasha just wasn’t competing at that time, and even now (when AIN) does not have a strong fed behind unlike Alysa.
@harocats In direct competition Alysa has 0 chances against Sasha. That’s what those gifs are about. Take Olympics 2026, even challengers that Sasha is participating in are harder technically than those games. And Alysa because there was no real competition
@omegatruther Literally no one says that. Everyone puts down Ruby when she barely had any screen time compared to Hannah, who had the chance to show her acting and develop the character more. You’d be glazing over Ruby’s Fran just like you’re glazing Hannah’s portrayal now. I love Hannah btw
