@CrunchAlias @varindeus But then wouldn’t you do what normal children do and say “oh sorry I was laughing at something my mate just said”. Maybe Canadians are different.
@JessicaValenti I don’t live in the US but surely isn’t it a good thing for refugees to go to places they’ll be welcome, that are really pleasant places to live? This seems like a pretty good idea.
@AlixEHarrow I used to love those Victorian nightgowns from Past Times as a child, and my mum remembers (fondly?) the time I appeared, like a spectre, next to her bed while a thunderstorm raged, lit up by lightening, ominously saying “a storm is here”.
@OscarNMFranklin @YesMissMurphy @itsnashflynn Well what if it wasn’t her but actually a ghost that really prided itself on manners and then haunted me for my lack of them.
@OhYeahLasers @itsnashflynn It’s because everywhere in the U.K. has been lived and died in for so long that you move out of one haunted place and straight into another one. You just accept the house ghost you acquire.
@OscarNMFranklin @YesMissMurphy @itsnashflynn Mine did this too - about 2 months old, screaming at the bath, suddenly looked over my shoulder, relaxed and smiled. I dared not look but said out loud “if that’s you grandma, thank you!”
@rita_thee This is middle age! It’s brilliant. Comfy shoes, nice trousers and a jumper, literally think nothing of any men apart from my own husband who is very nice to me whatever I’m wearing or do.
@tommy_stella Very specific recurring dream about a disembodied blue hand coming up the back of my bed. Also of looking down into a very deep large tube of water with sea creatures and then falling in. Like in an aquarium. Not just a childhood fear tbh.
@stevog1184 @NPWhite717 I was just responding to the “people ignore other oppressive empires” comment. Just saying that we do maintain a high level of dislike for Nazis. But I do agree re the other empires. No one’s always on at the French about it, or the Dutch. Everyone likes the Dutch these days.
@JenAshleyWright So this is my love language but sadly not my husbands who just politely smiles. However, I’ve discovered it is my 12 year olds and now we text a dozen daft things every day.
