holy fuck you're overthinking dropshipping.
this brand is doing $1m/month right now selling... body makeup.
leg makeup. you rub it on, it covers veins and imperfections and then washes off in 3-4 days. $28 a tube.
and the way they're running it is so simple it's almost insulting.
let me break it down.
first - they know exactly who they're selling to.
women 40+. the ones who stopped wearing shorts. spider veins, bruising, uneven tone on the legs. a real insecurity nobody builds product marketing around.
shit you will see someone complaining about on reddit.
second - they know what that woman already tried.
self tanner. and they know why she hates it.
so look at the top of their listicle. it's a straight comparison table.
self tanner: streaks. patchiness. weird DHA smell. stains everything.
their product: none of that.
they're not selling a product. they're selling "the thing you already tried, but without the 3 reasons you quit."
third - the funnel is geo-specific.
"10 reasons UK & Aussie women are ditching self-tanner."
the URL literally says listicle1-6102025uk. they've got versions cut by country. the aussie reading it feels like it was written for her, because it was.
all formatted like a real beauty article, not an ad. classic advertorial done properly.
third - they're not overcomplicating the traffic.
their top ad in the US? straight to the product page. no listicle, and no 9-step funnel.
cold traffic, PDP, buy. it works so they don't touch it + their us audience is probably super educated.
fourth - the creative is all UGC videos and BOF statics
40+ women, in their bathrooms, real lighting. before/after on the legs. the exact woman they want buying it is shown using it.
fifth - the offer ladders cleanly.
one tube = $28. perfector + brush bundle. then the "2 perfectors & brush" most-popular bundle at $44.59, framed as "save 50%."
buy more save more, anchored against fake compare-at prices. AOV climbs without a single upsell page.
that's it, that's the whole machine.
right ICP. a problem they've actually lived. the one alternative they already rejected. and a product positioned as the fix for exactly why that alternative failed.
they don't need some huge edge, they just understand their female ICP better than anyone else selling to her.
stop overthinking it.
A shower head brand you've probably never heard of is quietly outscaling Jolie on Meta.
Jolie did $40M last year. But drivse now pulls more monthly traffic, and likely more new customers, while almost nobody talks about it.
I pulled apart their entire Meta setup:
Inside the breakdown:
- The advertorial funnel 63% of their ads route to (instead of the product page)
- The single 3-minute ad that moves a cold buyer from problem-aware to ready-to-buy
- How they launched 800 ads in 30 days without the account falling apart
- The 3 personas they target, and the one they're leaving on the table
- The 4 gaps I'd fix to scale them faster
